Christopher J. Knollmeyer
President/CEO
With more than 45 years of construction experience, Chris leads the Knollmeyer Team by setting a high standard of quality and customer relations. Chris is a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor, possesses a Boston ABC License and has a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor License, and is a Certified Passive House Builder. Chris and the team are capable of tackling any project that comes to us from our long list of regular clients.
Carol Mahan
Sr. Vice President of Business Operations and Finance
Carol joined the KBC Team in August of 2016 as Corporate Controller. As Corporate Controller, Carol’s responsibilities at KBC included managing all segments of financial operations. She also manages the staff responsible for generating the firm’s payroll each week and oversees each staff member who is responsible for managing all payables and receivables. In March of 2021, Carol was promoted to VP of Business Operations and Finance, where she continues to excel as one of KBC’s top Team Members.
Shawn D. Vetere
Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
Shawn has been with KBC since 2013 and has been working in sales and marketing for over 30 years. Shawn is responsible for initiating marketing schemes and seeking out new business opportunities for the firm. He is the Past President of New England Chapter of IIBEC and remains a current Board Member of the chapter. Shawn has been the Chairman of the NE IIBEC Annual Golf Classic since 2017. A member of CAI, BOMA and the current President of Revere Youth Baseball and Softball. Shawn is also an active member with IREM Boston.
Larry Hamel
Vice President of Preconstruction Services
Larry has 10 years experience working in healthcare, and leads the KBC diversified team of Project Managers, Assistant Projects Managers and Superintendents. His specialties include planning, scheduling and oversight of construction projects ranging from $4 Mil to $20 Mil. Larry possesses a LEED AP Certification, Lean Healthcare Certification Training, ASHE/AHA Healthcare Construction Certificate, Certified Passive House Builder, Licensed Construction Supervisor, OSHA Training and Certification.
John J. LaSpina
Vice President of Field Operations
John possesses over 40 years of construction related experience, including 20 years of Project Management and over 10 years Operations Management experience. His construction experience includes management of projects ranging from $250,000 to in excess of $30 Mil. Educated at Wentworth Institute of Technology, he is LEED Certified, is a Licensed Construction Supervisor, RRP Certified, Passive House Certified, possesses OSHA 10 and 30 hours Certifications and has taken CPR courses.
Don Arpin
Project Manager – Investigative Services
Don brings with him over 30 years in construction experience. His experience includes 16 years of investigative work and spec writing. A weatherproofing expert, Don while previously working for an engineering firm, worked as a consultant overseeing all below-grade waterproofing, roofing inspections and building envelope components for MIT, Fenway Park and Logan Airport terminals. Currently, he leads the KBC Investigative team and often works along side engineers and exterior envelope consultants during test cuts and exploratory investigations.
Lauren Knollmeyer
Project Manager
Lauren joined KBC as a Project Manager in 2015 after graduating from Northeastern University. With years of Business Management experience, Lauren has worked hard to take on more responsibility within KBC and manage larger scale projects. She is our go-to person for historical projects, and specializes in communication, scheduling, and cost management. A Certified Passive House Builder, Lauren has also taken several LEED courses and is always mindful of a project’s impact on its neighbors, occupants, owners, and the environment. Lauren is also a memeber of APTNE and serves as out in-house IT expert.
Maddie Lapierre
Project Manager
Maddie joined the KBC team after recently graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is highly motivated, possesses great problem-solving skills, and is an excellent communicator. Maddie is detail oriented and a methodical thinker which has made her a strong leader on all of her projects.
Mitch Herrick
Assistant Project Manager
Mitch, graduated from New England Tech School for Construction Management and possesses 7 years of construction related experience. His past experience includes beginning as a carpenter’s assistant and later working as a carpenter on residential and commercial projects. Hired by KBC in January of 2019, the vendors for delivery. Mitch is also involved with closeouts of each project he assigned for projects that require additional project management. Mitch excels being in the field.
Jake Bettencourt
Assistant Project Manager
Jake joined the KBC family in 2023 after graduation from UMass Amherst with a degree in finance. With a background in residential construction and an eye for detail, Jake brings a unique perspective to projects. He is very effective on site managing complex projects and has a knack for project financials.
Tyler Gagnon
APM
Tyler joined the KBC family in 2022 bringing with him over 10 years of carpentry experience. Tyler values honesty and integrity and stands behind his work. He prides himself on the quality of his work and his commitment to outstanding results to guide a project to success. Tyler was recently promoted from lead carpenter to APM due to his excellent computer and organizational skills.
Alec Pascoe
Assistant Project Manager
Alec originally joined the KBC team as an intern in 2023, returning as a full-time employee aftre graduating from UMass Amherst’s Building and Construction Technologies program. As an APM, Alec has uickly gained experience assisting on a wide range of projects, both in the office and the field. Alec’s personable nature and eagerness to learn and collaborate has made him a great asset on the KBC team.
Mike Maxwell
Safety Officer
Mike has been part of the KBC Team for over 19 years. In 2017 Mike was named Safety Officer. Mike is an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer and trains the 10- and 30-Hour OSHA Safety Training Classes. He has been in construction for over 30 years and his specialties include onsite safety methods and instruction and he is also a Licensed Construction Supervisor.
Phil Sheehan
Senior Superintendent
Phil has been with Knollmeyer Building Corp for over 30 years. As a licensed Construction Supervisor and a 30 Hour OSHA Certificate Holder, he has supervised many complex projects. Phil epitomizes the Superintendent who works well with clients and subcontractors. He sees to it that each of his assigned projects gets done correctly and completed on time. Many of the KBC repeat clients request Phil to Supervise their projects and for good reason. He is one of the best Superintendents in the business!
Sergio Perez
Superintendent
Sergio has been an employee for Knollmeyer Building Corp for over 25 years. Sergio communicates well with Engineers, Architects, Property Managers and Building Inspectors on all of his projects. He specializes in working in occupied residential properties under construction. He is a licensed Construction Supervisor among other certifications. He is an exterior/interior specialist and has become a specialist in supervising our historic projects.
Sean Flanagan
Superintendent
Sean joined the KBC Team in late 2017. He brings along with him over 30 years’ construction experience. His area of expertise includes the renovations and build outs of restaurants and office space. He excels in the areas of demolition, framing, sheetrock, taping and millwork. Sean, deservingly, was promoted to Superintendent in 2020. He continues to grow professionally with our organization.
John Pinksten
Superintendent
John has been with the KBC family since 2018. He possesses over 20 years experience as a Construction Supervisor. He specializes in all things carpentry and is an expert when it comes to flooring. John communicates well with Engineers, Architects, Property Managers and Building Inspectors in relation to the projects he is assigned. Given his non-profit occupied housing project experience, John is well prepared to ensure minimal disruption during construction and can quickly and reliably address any issues that arise.
Ken Shipley
Superintendent
Ken arrived at KBC in 2022 with over 20 years experience in the construction industry. He was a foreman for 15 years for a construction firm in New Hampshire. As a Superintendent for KBC, Ken has supervised projects north of Boston and for projects located in New Hampshire, and he specializes in ground-up construction and sitework. As a Superintendent for KBC, Ken has supervised projects north of Boston and in New Hampshire. He continues to developed strong relationships with both the clients and the subcontractors and is an exceptional team player.
Jimmy Conley
Superintendent
Jimmy has been with the KBC family for almost 25 years. Jimmy is a master carpenter who does both rough and finish work. He is known for his problem-solving ability and communication skills, keeping all parties informed throughout the course of a project. He specializes in working on occupied spaces, being ever mindful of the Owners’ and Residents’ needs. Jimmy is our go-to guy when we need someone who can fix anything.
James Pingeon
Estimator
James brings along enthusiasm and a drive to deliver great service to KBC’s clientele. Initially brought on board as an Intern, James worked hard and joined the Project Management Team as an APM. Approximately one year following his promotion, James jumped at the opportunity to join the KBC Estimating office as an Assistant Estimator, where he thrives today as an Estimator. James has shown the ability to communicate well with clients and subcontractors and continues to grow professionally.
Beverly Randazza
Assistant Controller
Beverly joined the KBC team in November of 2015 and has quickly become a key member of the office and finance staff. Beverly possesses over 25 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable, and she is our payroll manager. She also graduated from Katharine Gibbs School in the Advanced Secretarial Program, and she is a graduate of Northeastern University with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
Nick Belkas
Daily Operations
With years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, Nick is known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. Specializing in coordinating complex job sites, Nick oversees daily operations, manages subcontractors, and ensures strict adherence to safety standards and project specifications. Nick works closely with clients, architects, and project managers to keep the job site running smoothly. His attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to excellence help turn complicated plans into reality. Nick takes pride in building not just projects, but long-term relationships grounded in trust and reliability.
